Lovable Chat: Brainstorm ideas, create, and improve existing sites.
If you were using Claude x Lovable and hopping from tool to tool for brainstorming and improvement, Lovable Chat is useful.
Lovable just shipped a new feature that eliminates a lot of unnecessary tool hopping between your AI chat tool and Lovable. The drawback is that it costs credits. The advantage is it’s an intuitive add-on to the overall creation experience on Lovable.
You can easily attach files to your chat window and reference other projects. This is useful because in my experience, I’ve had a project once or twice have a feature that I like, but does not exist in other projects. If brainstorming, referencing other projects in chat is a breeze.
You can use the brainstorming call outs for ready prompts, and expedite your process if you’re stuck.
You could even create other artifacts in a way that keeps all your lovable context, on Lovable.
Again, the drawback is credits. Projects often cost a lot to build and refine. This addition will surely expend all credits much more quickly. If you use Claude like me, then using the chat feature may not be the best option for credits management.
As with any “preview” feature on any AI tool, I like to always jump into it head first and get the hang of it before it becomes a fully fledged feature simply to gain experience and knowledge before it becomes a part of my workflow.
